Talk about a violation of boundaries! What could be more unsafe? Could these "poor girls" possibly walk away from such an experience feeling empowered?
What do we make, then, of Planned Parenthood's advertisement in this month's Lincoln Public Schools Community News?
In case the image is difficult to read, it says,
Young people look
to the adults in their lives
to set an EXAMPLE,
and for guidance and information.
TALK to your teen about establishing
and respecting BOUNDARIES,
and EMPOWER them to build SAFE,
Would LPS find space in its publication for advertisements from companies that knowingly violate child labor laws? Would they champion companies that intentionally discriminate against certain populations and then defiantly disregard Supreme Court rulings on the ban of their practices?
Then LPS ought to reconsider its relationship with Planned Parenthood. It's irresponsible and dangerous for a public school district to endorse an organization with a blatant disregard for the infinite worth of each child.
